Run Rabbit Run…. Award

This whole week has been a blur with our renovation, school in full swing, work and wintry windy days (and nights)! In the midst of all this, comes an award nomination from The Utopian Universe called “Run Rabbit Run” award like a bright ray of sunshine! A very big and fluffy Thank You to The Utopian Universe. Please do check The Utopian Universe out for inspiration and “warm feel good feelings” about our world, daily lives and selves! This award accurately sums up my week because, A) much running around was involved, and B) it’s immensely gratifying to do so!

The Rules:

  1. Thank the blog who’s nominated you, share the link and award on your blog.
  2. Write a brief story on how you started blogging and any advice you would give to a new blogger.
  3. Select nominees (max 15)
  4. Advise nominees.

So here goes my story of how I started blogging,

I used to have an older vegan recipe blog way back in 2010 when, I started blogging as a way to keep all my recipes in one place and, as an online journal to record my new experiments! My second child was very little and, I was home at the time. But as time progressed my posts got further and fewer, also I migrated my blog to WordPress. I did post sporadically at the time however, motherhood, work and life got in the way. My work as a full time mental health clinician took a lot of energy. Recently, I decided to look at posting on a daily to near daily basis, which is easy because I can schedule posts in advance with WordPress. Impressive right?!

My only advise for new bloggers is be yourself and blog about whatever makes you happy! The passion is what keeps you going, makes the blog authentic and brings readers. My passion is plant based food and recipe development, looking at traditional recipes, veganising and finding low fat and sugar alternatives, and this certainly keeps me going!

My nominees are……….. this is too hard! There are too many great blogs out there to list, so at random here they are,

 Joie De Vivre

Vegan Food for Peace

Spicy and Sugary Bites

The Healthy Indian Kitchen

Eartha Cooks

There is absolutely no compulsion to accept the nomination and, all the blogs that I follow are simply awesome! A great, big, Thank You for reading this far…

I am an enthusiastic plant based home cook and baker who delights in sharing my creations on unsuspecting non vegans, when they least expect it! When not recipe developing, testing or making, I’m found organising and/ or writing, the two other passions of my life ❤️
